While all of these cast members of Harry Potter have added unique and awesome qualities to their respective characters, many of them don’t quite fit J.K. Rowling’s descriptions. According to the authors descriptions the Harry Potter cast has taken a few deviations. In this article we present to you HOW the Harry Potter cast should’ve looked like
#1 Harry Potter
In the movies, Harry Potter is an able-bodied athlete with blue eyes and a sharp jawline. He’s not the tallest student at Hogwarts, but he’s definitely got the charm and masculine features to make audiences swoon

Rowling introduces Harry as “small and skinny for his age. Harry had a thin face, knobbly knees, black hair and bright green eyes. He wore round glasses held together with a lot of Scotch tape… The only thing Harry liked about his own appearance was a very thin scar on his forehead that was shaped like a bolt of lightning.” A crucial feature of the books is that Harry has Lily’s green eyes.

#2 Ron Weasley
In the movies, Ron sports a tousled, ginger hairstyle with an even more messy personality. He’s got fair skin and brown eyes, but its still his personality and quick-thinking that gets fans to love him

Ron is described as “tall, thin and gangling, with freckles, big hands and feet, and a long nose.”
In order for Rupert Grint to match Ron in the books, he’d had to have a longer nose, plenty of freckles, and a fiery red mane just like the rest of his family. And not to mention his signature bright blue eyes, which makes us think he’d be great for socal beaches

#3 Professor Umbridge
Imelda Staunton from the Harry Potter cast perfectly captures the proud essence of Umbridge. She sports all-pink clothes and a signature bob; but despite these delicate features, she still scares us more than Voldy.

“Dolores Umbridge is said to resemble a ‘large, pale toad’.”
There are multiple times Harry is reminded of a toad with Umbridge. She’s got a short neck and a wide mouth, and we can only assume that her eyes are far apart much like a toad. Watching every move.
#4 Bellatrix
Helena Bonham Carter definitely pulls off Bellatrix’s “once classy, now scary.” She’s got full lips, piercing eyes, and a messy hairstyle that still somehow falls perfectly down her shoulders. Carter carries a certain pride and class while she’s throwing Unforgiveable Curses.

#5 Voldemort
n the movies, Voldemort has a skull-like face with sharp features. His eyes are disturbingly human amidst the rest of his snakelike features. His long fingernails are white like the rest of his pale body

Voldemort in the books is “whiter than a skull, with wide, livid scarlet eyes and a nose that was flat as a snake’s but with slits for nostrils.” His unsettling cat-like, scarlet eyes are contrasted with pale blue fingernails. Would’ve been nice to see him casting spells to add color to his nails.
And of course, he has no lips.
#6 Hermione
By the end of the series, Emma Watson has perfectly flowy, blonde hair and a gentle smile. Sometimes, we think she’s a bit too good to be with Ron and Harry considering she’s got both the charm and the wits

Hermione in the books has “lots of bushy brown hair and rather large front teeth.” Her eyes are a bright, piercing brown. A different look, but still a bit too good for Ron and Harry.
Rowling at one point even said she’s fully behind a Black Hermione
